In the Moscow region, unknown people burned alive a cougar in an aviary

The prosecutor’s office of the Moscow region took control of the results of the check on the incident with the arson of the cougar enclosure in Odintsovo near Moscow. According to the press service of the department in its Telegram channel, the incident occurred on the night of March 15 in the Odintsovo urban district.

Unidentified persons, being on the territory of a private household, set fire to an outbuilding in which there was a cougar. As a result, the animal died.

According to KP, the male cougar named Simba was two years old. The cub ended up in a family of local residents, because after the birth of his mother refused to feed the kittens. Then people began to nurse the cougar. According to a family friend and owner of another cougar, Sergey Tatarintsev, Simba lived in a separate enclosure and never left the territory of the household.

The newspaper writes that the attacker, who set fire to the enclosure, did not get on the surveillance cameras at the site. At the time of the tragedy, the hostess and her son were in the house, they were awakened by neighbors.

According to the media, a criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident under two articles: cruelty to animals and deliberate destruction of property.
