Denmark will not give permission to the Russian side to participate in investigations into explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines. The Local writes about this, citing Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
He added that in Denmark, Sweden and Germany, the rule of law operates, and therefore everyone can trust the ongoing investigations.
Rasmussen noted that the Danish authorities assured the Russian side of a thorough investigation. When it is done, Denmark will announce the results of the work.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia regards Denmark’s refusal to allow Moscow to participate in the investigation of the emergency as a “fraud” and “scam”.
Recall that in September 2022, as a result of an explosion, two lines of the first Nord Stream and one of Nord Stream 2 were depressurized. A criminal case was initiated in Russia under the article on an act of international terrorism.
The Swedish intelligence services also concluded that the incident was a sabotage.
