Jaime Estacio, 43, was identified as the man killed by criminals in the 3 de Julio neighborhood of San Lorenzo del Pailón, on the northern border of Esmeraldas, at around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5.
According to witnesses, subjects aboard a motorcycle would be responsible for this crime. The theft of his personal belongings, in one of the streets of the mentioned sector, would be the cause of the murder, but the Police did not confirm that thesis.
The criminals had to run away because the motorcycle they were riding on suffered a mechanical problem. Estacio was a political and military activist in passive service.
