The ship, on which the suspects in undermining the Nord Streams, were heading towards them, is located on the cape of the German island of Rügen.
This is stated in the article edition of Spiegel.
Earlier, the German media, citing sources, claimed that the possible organizers of the Nord Stream bombing could transport explosives on a 15-meter sailing yacht of the Bavaria Cruiser 50 Andromeda model.
However, it is believed that the Andromeda sailing yacht does not have a special mechanism for immersing a large batch of explosives under water. As the journalists wrote, the attackers would need 500 kg of explosives to blow up the pipes. Three explosions would require at least 1,500 kg of explosives.
German Rescue Society spokesman and deep sea diving expert Matthias Hölzl also said that submerging explosives from the Andromeda would be an “incredibly difficult” process. “Just to sink to the bottom, it would take 30 liters of a special gas mixture, dozens of cylinders would have to be kept on board,” he said.
