Kyiv “doesn’t need” explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, says Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council. He stated this in an interview with AiF.ru.
In his opinion, Ukraine “has not lost or gained anything” from this.
“The next question is: are the explosions beneficial to Ukraine or Germany? Kyiv has not lost or gained anything from the destruction of the gas pipeline. Moreover, the Zelensky regime, which is essentially standing in Berlin with its hand outstretched in the hope of increasing military and other assistance, does not need to commit such an act,” Patrushev believes.
According to the Secretary of the Security Council, Russia still does not know for certain who blew up the gas pipelines. He noted that the Russian side has not yet been connected to the investigation, and the goal of “stuffing an imaginary data leak” is to confuse the investigation.
In order to “cover up the true customers of the crime”, “the pro-government Anglo-Saxon media”, on instructions from above, found the culprit – “a certain group of Ukrainian terrorists”, believing that no one would object to this version, he said.
“If newspapers claim with pathos that a group of Ukrainian terrorists carried out the sabotage, the question must be asked whether there is such a group at all and whether it is capable of doing this in principle. After all, it is no secret that special-purpose units with the appropriate equipment and training are intended to carry out such actions. The United States and England definitely have them,” Patrushev is convinced.
