The sale of ammunition produced in Serbia allows you to feed the people of the country, President Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview with the Serbian TV channel Happy.
According to him, “whatever ammunition you export, it will end up in Syria, Mali, somewhere where there is a war.” “We must feed the people, our economy must flourish. We’re making guns, not shoe heels, so what do we do now?” Vučić asked, pointing out that Serbia was not breaking the law by selling weapons.
Earlier, information appeared in the media that the Serbian organization Krusik supplied ammunition to Kyiv through Istanbul and Bratislava – missiles for multiple rocket launchers. In total, Belgrade, according to information from the documents, sent Ukraine 3.5 thousand units of 122-mm rockets under the M-21 Grad brand with a range of 20 km.
Russia sent Serbia a request to clarify the official position of Belgrade, Vučić called the reports about the transfer of weapons to Ukraine “an outright lie.” At the same time, he added that Serbia “produces and sells ammunition,” and “when you produce ammunition, they always end up somewhere on the battlefield or in a global crisis zone.”
