Two citizens of Russia, two citizens of Ukraine and one citizen of Armenia, who were arrested in connection with the explosion on the Crimean bridge last October, do not admit their guilt. It is reported by TASS.
“Our arrest is a response to a public request to capture someone. We have been dubbed online as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. According to the investigation, we entered into an agreement with someone, at the same time we were doing our work, and at the same time there was a terrorist attack, but we didn’t hide anywhere, we came for interrogations, and then we were detained, ”said the accused Azatyan .
All the defendants deny their guilt, some of them underwent a polygraph examination.
It is also reported that the investigation period in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge in October last year has been extended until June 8.
“The investigation period has been extended until June 8, it is necessary to complete another 40 forensic examinations, to receive answers to requests,” the investigator said in court.
The District Court is considering the issue of extending the detention period for five defendants previously arrested in Crimea: citizens of the Russian Federation Artem and Grigory Azatyan, natives of Makeevka living in Armavir, citizens of Ukraine Roman Solomko, who lives in Kherson, and Volodymyr Zloba, who lives in Crimea, a citizen Armenia to Artur Terchanyan, who lives in Georgia.
According to the MK newspaper, the arrest warrant says that Roman Solomko was in Kherson from August to October 8, from where he provided the organizers of the terrorist act with information about the method of delivering an explosive device by truck from a foreign state to the Russian Federation. He, through Vladimir Zloba, organized freight transport and a place of reloading in Armavir. The role of Vladimir Zloba was to charter the truck of the driver Yusubov, who died in the explosion, and provide him with false information about the recipient of the cargo and its location in Simferopol. Artem Azatyan agreed with his brother on a place in a warehouse in Armavir. His brother Georgy Azatyan, respectively, is blamed for providing the premises. Artur Terchanyan’s driver brought the cargo to Russia.
