In the emergency room of Kamensk-Uralsky, a man with foot injuries had to crawl to the specialist’s office on all fours, as they refused to give him a wheelchair, KP-Yekaterinburg writes, citing the victim’s wife.
As the woman said, the accident occurred on the evening of March 5, when a man hung an antenna on the house. He fell off the stairs and fell to the ground, injuring his legs as a result. Relatives decided not to wait for an ambulance and brought him to the emergency room of Kamensk-Uralsky on Dobrolyubov Street.
At the same time, according to the woman, the brother of the victim went to the doctors to ask for a wheelchair. However, his request was ignored, and the nurse in the office offered to go on a first-come, first-served basis. The family was offered to deal with the transportation on their own, and because of the conflict on this issue, the guards were called. As a result, the man had to crawl into the building of the emergency room and to the doctor’s office on all fours.
The woman noted that she filmed what was happening on video to show that the family was indeed denied a wheelchair, but upon noticing the filming, the medical staff asked her to stop. The guards again intervened in the case, who, according to her, “calmed down” the relatives of the victim.
As a result, the man was diagnosed with a closed fracture of both feet and was eventually given a wheelchair. To take him out of the premises, the relatives had to separately ask the guards to open the entrance with a ramp.
As the newspaper notes, in the emergency room on Dobrolyubov Street they said they were not aware of the incident, and promised to provide details later.
