In China, a ban has been imposed on bloggers who do not have the appropriate education to talk about medical, legal “and other highly professional topics”. It is reported by CNBC.
The relevant rules were introduced by the State Administration of Radio and Television and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China regarding online broadcasts.
For content that requires a “higher professional level”, the authors must be qualified and provide documents to the platform. Only then can they talk about these topics, the Chinese National Radio and Television Administration warned fellow citizens.
This ban is another step by the Chinese authorities to establish control over the activities of technology companies in the country and their impact on society. Also, Chinese bloggers are prohibited from publishing content that weakens and distorts the authority of the leadership of the Communist Party, demonstrate a large amount of food waste and luxury items, an extravagant lifestyle, and post content of a sexual nature and provocative materials.
