Every third Russian (32%) makes savings in case of loss of all sources of income. According to RBC, this is evidenced by the data of the Superjob survey.
It is noted that at the same time, every fifth Russian (20%) saves money for a vacation, and every sixth (17%) – for real estate.
Among other financial goals of Russians: the future of children – 16%; creation of passive sources of income – 14%; life after retirement – 12%; repair – 11%; medical services, car, own education – 8%; expensive things – 7%; opening your own business – 6%.
At the same time, women are more likely to create an airbag or save for no particular purpose, while men are more likely to invest or save for a car and education.
In 2022, the number of Russians who collect money for a rainy day has increased dramatically, but now it has decreased by 5%.
Every third Russian saves from 10% to 25% of his income, every fourth – less than 10%. Another 7% of Russians save from a quarter to a third of what they earn, 8% – from a third to a half.
The survey was conducted from February 13 to February 22, 2023 in 395 settlements of Russia. In total, 1.6 thousand respondents took part in the survey, who belong to the economically active population over 18 years old and have savings.
