The Japanese government, as part of the next package of sanctions against Russia, will impose a ban on the export of goods “contributing to the strengthening of the industrial base”, but the details of these measures have not yet been determined and will be announced later. This is stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The export ban on product categories by Japan is usually introduced in parallel with individual sanctions and export restrictions on specific organizations and companies. 48 people from the Russian Federation, as well as 94 organizations, fell under the new restrictions.

So, among the personalities who will be affected by the freezing of assets, if any, are Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Viktor Goremykin, President of the Kalashnikov Concern Alan Lushnikov, Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Ensuring the Activities of the State Council Alexander Kharichev , his deputy Boris Rapoport. Representatives of the administrations of the Kherson region, the LPR and the DPR also fell under the sanctions.

Sanctions are being imposed on Rosbank and the Wagner Group.

Restrictions on the export of goods to the Russian Federation will most likely affect drones. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced such sanctions at the G7 online summit on February 25.
