China called for an end to hostilities in Ukraine and the start of a negotiation process. According to Interfax, this is stated in the published statement of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

“Dialogue and negotiations are the only possible way to resolve the Ukrainian crisis,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed.
The statement says that it is important to abandon the practice of unilateral sanctions and pressure, “which not only will not solve the problem, but will create new ones.”
Chinese Foreign Ministry halt “reduce strategic risks.” He emphasized that “the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons should be resisted, (…) to oppose the development and use of biological and chemical weapons by any country under any circumstances.”
In this regard, the statement says that it is necessary to ensure the safety of nuclear power plants, to oppose armed attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities, in order to avoid man-made nuclear accidents.
The document also notes the importance of refraining from attacks on civilians and civilian objects, the need to respect the fundamental rights of prisoners of war, and support for the existing global economic system.
