Faced with the prison crisis and the latest massacre at the Litoral Penitentiary, the authorities generated the exchange of statements
In the midst of the prison crisis, after the massacre that occurred in the Litoral Penitentiary, President Guillermo Lasso published a call for attention to the country’s institutions, “Especially to the Constitutional Court” for not allowing to maintain order in the prisons and preventing the support of the Armed Forces in the prisons.
Before the publication of the president, the Constitutional Court (CC) responded by means of a statement rejection of the call for attention to this body.
