The Russian special operation in Ukraine revealed the role of fertilizers as a “strategic lever of global influence”, which is currently controlled by Russia and China. This situation has caused concern in the United States and other Western countries, Bloomberg notes.
The article highlights that global trade chains have “changed” since the start of the NWO, causing food shortages in some of the poorest countries, as well as massive fertilizer purchases in the West. At the same time, the main suppliers of fertilizers to the world markets are Russia, China and Belarus, the United States occupies only the fourth place in the ranking of fertilizer producers. This is of concern to Western countries, as it could eventually lead to severe food shortages in the least protected regions of the world.
The West has not imposed direct restrictions on the supply of fertilizers from Russia, but Russian authorities say sanctions against the country have led to supply problems. The removal of restrictions on the export of fertilizers and various agricultural products has become part of the grain deal between Moscow, Kyiv, Ankara and the UN.
