As a result of earthquakes in Turkey, 41 thousand 20 people died. This is stated in the message of the Office for Combating Natural Disasters and Emergencies.

Earlier, the head of the department, Yunus Sezer, said that search and rescue operations had been completed in most provinces.

In Syria, which was also affected by the earthquake, the death toll exceeded 5.8 thousand people.

Meanwhile, footage of a break in the earth’s crust in Hatay, which appeared after the earthquakes in Turkey, has been published on the Web. The footage was filmed near the city of Altinezu. So, tremors cut the olive grove into several parts. The length of the fault is about 200 kilometers.

Recall, on February 6, powerful earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 were recorded in Turkey. They became the strongest since 1939, WHO recognized this earthquake as the strongest natural disaster in a century in the European region.
