People decide to have sex on the first date to understand the prospects of the relationship. Psychotherapist Rachel Wright named the reasons for this behavior to Hello Giggles.
So, the company Lovehoney conducted a survey that showed that many are ready to be in bed with a new partner after the first meeting.
53% of respondents admitted that they just like to have sex. Another 46% added that they do not want to waste time and want to get straight to the point. In their opinion, this helps to check compatibility with a partner. A total of 2,000 people took part in the survey.
26% of women surveyed say that sex on a first date is a great way to connect faster.
16% try to relax and calm their nerves due to this.
“For some people, sex after the first date helps decide if they want to see the person again,” Wright comments. “For some, such sex is unacceptable, as they need an emotional connection with a sexual partner.”
Among the reasons for not having sex on a first date, survey participants named the lack of comfort in the company of a stranger, the need to get to know a potential partner better, and the fear of contracting a sexually transmitted infection.
