Figure skater Oksana Domnina spoke about the condition of her husband Roman Kostomarov. According to the athlete, she did not want to comment on the situation, but a number of incorrect media reports and the reaction of Kostomarov’s relatives to them forced her to break the silence.
As Domnina explained to AiF, at the time of the onset of pneumonia, her husband had a sore arm – and he took painkillers, which in a certain sense “blurred” the symptoms of the development of the disease.
After hospitalization, it turned out that Kostomarov “was in a very difficult, difficult condition, all indicators went off scale, these were actually numbers that they do not live with and do not survive.” Doctors informed the athlete and his family about possible developments in the situation.
“We all knew and understood from the very beginning about the consequences that could be,” Domnina said. According to her, he was “born again, and the fact that he is now with us is a great miracle and the merit of the doctors.”
The skater also thanked for the great support felt by Kostomarov and his family. “And let’s continue to pray for Roman to recover as soon as possible, accept the whole situation and live a full life further,” Domnina said.
