Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin invited Muscovites and guests of the city to take part in the traditional Moscow Maslenitsa festival, which will be held from February 17 to 26. The festivities will take place both in the central part of the city – in the park. Gorky, on Revolution Square and Tverskaya Square, and in city administrative districts.

“Like in previous years, the guests of the festival will enjoy a real gastronomic abundance. Cafes and restaurants prepared a huge selection, ”said Sobyanin.

At 23 venues, you can taste more than 50 types of various pancakes. More than 20 types of cheeses, 50 types of fish and 100 types of meat delicacies will also be presented there.

Guests can not only enjoy their favorite treat, but also learn how to cook the most delicious pancakes. This will help more than two thousand culinary and creative master classes, about 250 culinary shows on ofirs and ovens.

Moscow Shrovetide will be interesting not only for adults, but also for children: they will also learn the basics of cooking, as well as get acquainted with folk crafts.

An extensive cultural and entertainment program is planned at the festival – performances by folklore groups, Cossack choirs and folk ensembles. In addition, free skating rinks will operate at 19 festival venues.
