Firefighters come at the request of the citizens, to put out the large-scale flames in the burning of the giant old years in Guayaquil.

Smoke, noise, ash created by burning sticks and pyrotechnics leave damage to the environment, human and animal health, accidents and even death. (OR)

Absolutely not, that “tradition” (in quotation marks) has nothing beneficial.

How many children were not burned by fireworks? How many special people are affected by the noise of fireworks? It not only harms people, but also the environment. Its use should be banned or at least regulated, only glow sticks should be sold to children, and the authorities should be allowed to hold fireworks festivals. For the planet, our pets and for those who want a peaceful Christmas and New Year, its use should be banned. (OR)

First, I think fireworks are a long-standing tradition…it was the beginning of a custom that became traditional. (OR)

Cameras, exploding confetti, rockets, castles, firecrackers, flares, etc. are dangerous. They attract attention with lights and sounds, they are weapons that burn, cause death. No one should play, should not try to light them because they explode in the hands. Young people lost their fingers and hands from the extinguished rocket in their hot hands. It is irresponsible to play with these things, keep them in the car or in the house, how many accidents and fires happen in December.

Children should not play with sprinklers, sprites, balls (“exploding kangaroo”), matches, candles, etc.; not only can they catch fire but also get poisoned by chewing, eating such things; put the fingers that have touched the gunpowder of these objects into their mouths.

By burning the old years with gasoline on which rockets are fired and by lighting fireworks or pyrotechnic games, the ecosystem is destroyed, the pavement of the streets on which we move, produces pollution, harms people’s health (lungs, eyes, skin, nervous system, throat, etc.) in terms of smoke, noise , ash, environmental warming, etc. Do not celebrate parties, even for Christmas, New Year, with gunpowder, fire (it affects global warming more), noise, destruction. We must be civilized, humane, respect nature. For uncivilized celebrations, we go to the hospital or the cemetery. (OR)

I am not in favor of burning years or fireworks at the end of the year, because besides being dangerous, these actions affect people and animals, due to smoke, noise and the latent danger of fire in places where these materials are stored, which must be well guarded and properly made; thinking that they are not a danger to anything and anyone.

Traditions cannot be changed overnight, a new culture or system needs to be started to celebrate these holidays of true importance to the whole world. (OR)
