Ecuador is like Noah’s Ark, there are specimens of all classes, races and aberrations. The results of this latest vote show the sad stagnation we are in, the entire structure of the state, organized in well-known times and which needs to be rejected, fought, will continue to allow impunity and corruption to thrive.

Each isolated measure is insufficient, let’s combine all efforts and use them for the common good. I’m speaking from Berlin, Germany. (OR)

The government must begin to take corrective measures with the seriousness that the case requires using the qualified local staff that exist, what is not there is the will to do so and then seek regional consensus; but by the same token, soft politics must change against an adversary strengthened more by laziness. The invitation sent by the Government of Ecuador to the countries and armed forces of the Latin American region is very necessary and timely, to unite in the fight against organized crime, drug trafficking, drug-related crime, we must support and be part of the solution for the well-being of our population and all of America .

Many Ecuadorians agree that the armed forces should unite to eliminate crimes in our beloved homeland, Ecuador, with a firm hand.

Latin American countries must be prepared in terms of national and regional security to stop organized crime. Countries would support each other by training and providing assistance to friendly countries that request it.

We hope that the governments will unite with steel hands, without special political ambitions, but thinking of the peace of their peoples. I am writing from Quito. (OR)

This is like a wake-up call for countries in the region that are somehow working to fight organized crime. The success is that each country does its part and in case someone needs help, all the countries of the sector would be ready to cooperate with their contingent to face the problems.

What is important would be: new laws against corruption and its tentacles that set a precedent; Demand the payment of compensation to the convicted, that they serve their sentence, and not to use the tricks that the current laws allow to not comply with them and to continue mocking the people; to tighten the sentences for these criminals and all those who have connections with criminal activities. The government must ensure that prisons are rehabilitation centers; education has a good cultivation of values and principles; and one should not be lukewarm in cases of corruption and hired killers. It is time for the president to impose his decisions in order to put an end to this evil that is flooding Ecuadorian society and make his associates work so that they too act firmly and intelligently. They must not be allowed to mislead justice. (OR)
