The vehicle restriction plan applies since the beginning of this month and has already had more than 240 sanctions
It is Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 November all vehicles may circulate in Quito, regardless of the license plate number in which they end.
According to the Peak and Plate restriction plan, the days Saturday, Sunday and holidays there will be free mobility 24 hours a day.
From Monday through Friday the restriction will apply according to the last license plate number, the traffic limitation hours are from 05:00 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00.
The motorcycles are also part of the restriction; for it the last number before the final letter of the plate will be taken into account.

Exceptions
The Municipality resolved annul all the safe-conducts that were issued until October 31, with the exception of those that were delivered to people with disabilities.
Safe conduits will stop working in Quito during the Peak and Plate
The vehicles that are exempt and can circulate freely They are those of the President and Vice President of the Republic; diplomatic and consular corps; of the National Police, emergencies and rescue; transportation of people with disabilities; public transport, commercial transport and own account transport.
The taxis, hybrid cars, motorcycles and those who provide delivery service as well they must abide the Peak and Plate.
Parking lot
The Metropolitan Mobility and Public Works Company (Epmmop) reactivated the edge parking lots for people wishing to leave their vehicles. They operate from 04:00 to 22:00. The service is free, the only requirement is that the license plate matches the vehicle restriction.
There are three public parking lots with a capacity of 460 seats:
- The County: located on Camilo GuachamÃn and La Esperanza streets. It has 150 spaces.
- Cuscungo: located on the General Rumiñahui highway. It has 150 places
- Zambiza: on Avenida de las Palmeras and El Inca. It has 160 parking spaces. (I)
