Latin America Green Awards changed headquarters and name. Now it will be held in Miami, United States, and will be called Green Awards.
Several days ago the official launch of the event was held, in its ninth edition, in Miami and was attended by the mayor of the city, Francis Suarez, and José Javier Guarderas, CEO and co-founder of the now called Green Awards.
“The doors of the city are open to strengthen all socio-environmental projects that are leading green development in the world,” said Suárez.
For his part, Guarderas pointed out that “he feels great gratitude that the work of the team made up of committed people grows, because that only means that sustainability is not a matter of ideological flags but of human beings who choose to place themselves on the right side of history. , in which it works to reduce inequalities and build environmental and economic progress in all sectors ”.
Since its inception, this initiative was based in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Only last year a sub-office was added, which was the city of Pereira, Colombia.

Miami welcomes us with open arms to continue supporting the initiatives that make sustainable development possible. The Green Awards are an organization with a purpose that, together with the United Nations, World Wildlife Fund, National Geographic, PWC and among other allies, have managed to promote the development of more than 15,200 projects, have generated more than 4,000 new jobs, delivered more than 20,688 hours of training by experts from around the world.
