The high volume of the music led Colonel Pablo Guachamín to the dormitories of the Community Police Unit (UPC) of the Diamante cooperative, on Trinitaria Island, in the south of Guayaquil, where he discovered three policemen drinking in the company of two women.

Guachamín found several bottles of beer on the floor of the room. It also indicated that the two women withdrew from the UPC.
Several police chiefs and the Criminalistics Unit arrived at the scene. In addition, the prosecutor on duty from the south, Carlos Vaca, was informed, who stated that since it was not a crime, it was not appropriate to carry out evidence gathering, so the Criminalistics Unit withdrew from the place and became a police report .
However, General Fausto Buenaño, commander of zone 8 (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón), mentioned this Friday that the conduct of the police will be investigated internally and that they would be punished.
