The EU, as part of the tenth package of sanctions, wants to ban Russian citizens from holding positions in European infrastructure companies. It is reported by Bloomberg.

In addition, among the proposed measures is a ban on the provision of gas storage tanks to citizens and residents of Russia, as well as legal entities registered in the country.

Other proposals concern media licenses controlled by the Russian state and associated with “spreading propaganda, manipulation and distortion of facts” in relation to the EU and neighboring states.

In addition, the package includes trade restrictions on goods used by the Russian military, including technology, components, heavy equipment, electronics and rare earth metals. The EU is also going to limit the import of Russian rubber and asphalt into its territory. In addition, the EU plans to ban the transit of goods through Russia to reduce the risk of circumvention of sanctions.

Alfa-Bank, Rosbank and Tinkoff Bank, as well as the National Wealth Fund, may fall under the sanctions, the agency reports. In addition, the list may include Russian media groups, a reinsurer of ships exporting Russian oil, as well as a UK-registered shipping company that uses its ships to transport Ukrainian grain for Russia.

The measures, according to the agency, will be discussed by member states this week.
