A 24-year-old Venezuelan woman was shot to death in the canton of El Guabo, province of El Oro.
Witnesses indicated that the lifeless body of the woman was found in a canal, located on the Tendales-El Garrido road.
This Monday morning, around 07:00, citizens who are engaged in agricultural work on a banana farm alerted the emergency service.
“First time to see this, especially with a woman,” said a resident, who regretted the event.
Police personnel from the preventive axis and investigative units of the Police went to the sector.
There, personnel from the Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased) and Criminalistics inspected the site and confirmed that at least two ballistic evidence were found at the scene. Therefore, it is presumed that the crime occurred at the scene.
Associates confirmed that the victim was Evelin Blanco. She resided on the site and for now, the inquiries are continuing to find those responsible for the event.
The body was taken to the morgue in a police van. (YO)
