The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued a meteorological alert valid until February 13 on rains and electrical storms in the Litoral and Amazon regions.
The heaviest rainfall was expected to occur between February 10 and 12. For the Coast region there would be moderate and heavy rains in a large part of the region with electrical storms to the north and interior.
For the Inter-Andean region, rainfall of moderate intensity would occur in the south. While in the Amazon, moderate rainfall was expected with an emphasis on the north and the foothills of the mountain range and gusts of wind for February 10 and 11.
Regarding the weather forecast for Monday, February 13, temperatures between 21 and 32 °C are expected for the Litoral region, precipitation is expected in several of the cities, especially in the afternoon and night.
In the Inter-Andean region, temperatures will oscillate between 9 and 24 °C, while in the Amazon, between 18 and 30 °C.
In the Insular region, temperatures will be between 24 and 31 °C.
Regarding ultraviolet radiation, indices between 7 and 10 are expected. (YO)
