That was the fourth robbery that Marcos suffered in a week. The other assaults occurred in the La Loreto Bajo sector, behind the Supermaxi and on June Guzmán avenue (downtown Quevedo), between Monday and Saturday.

On Friday, in the San Camilo parish, two other bus drivers, this time from line 12, were victims of assaults.

Alfonso Morán, one of the drivers of line 12 and who has also been a victim of assaults, indicated that the stoppage of the units was as a measure of rejection of so much robbery and with the hope of receiving the support of the Police.

For this Monday, starting at 06:00, the urban bus drivers plan to hold a sit-in on 7 de Octubre street, to ask for security for the union. However, said the leaders, the measure does not imply a stoppage of the service.
