With the proclamation starting at 09:00 this Saturday that will begin on Cevallos and Abdón Calderón avenues up to the Montalvo park on Bolívar street and the election of the Queen of Ambato from 19:00 at the Sports Coliseum the celebration of the 72nd edition of the Fruit and Flower Festival (FFF) begins.
This party will take place from February 17 to 21 and coincides with the carnival festivities.
María Garcés, Camila Garcés, Diana Palacios, María Castillo, Robin Galarza, Vanessa Constante, Karen Cornejo and Dayana Pazmiño are the eight candidates for Queen of Ambato.

The theme of the proclamation is flowers and fruits that is born from the name of the program that is Ambato magical garden, which symbolizes childhood as main actors in the gardens of Ambato.
Children from 34 educational establishments will participate in the proclamation, 17 of which will be with fruit themes and the rest with floral ones. In the parade they will alternate between fruits and flowers, that between blocks will go the eight candidates for the reign of Ambato.
He said that due to the health emergency as a consequence of the COVID pandemic, both the proclamation and the parade did not take the traditional routes to avoid crowds as they were carried out before. These were developed in an itinerant manner in various sectors.
