A group of 35 countries, including the US, Germany, Australia and Poland, will demand that Russian and Belarusian athletes be barred from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. This, as reported by Reuters, was announced by the Minister of Sports of Lithuania Jurgita Shyugzhdinene.

According to her, in the near future, countries that oppose the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in the Olympics will not need to threaten to boycott the competition, because all countries will speak unanimously.

In turn, the Minister of Sports of Poland, Kamil Bortnichuk, noted that a compromise solution, excluding the boycott of the Games, could be the involvement of Russian and Belarusian athletes who left their countries in the competition.

Let us recall that earlier the IOC Executive Committee allowed the return of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions without the right to represent their states. In particular, the idea was put forward to allow only those athletes who did not support Russia’s actions in the NWO.
