The Nizhnevartovsk City Court of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug found a physical education teacher at one of the local schools guilty of corrupting female students. According to TASS, he was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison in a strict regime colony.
“The accused was sentenced by court to 8.5 years in prison. He will serve this term in a strict regime colony. He is also forbidden to engage in teaching activities for 12 years, ”the source said.
According to investigators, in 2015-2020, a physical education teacher repeatedly committed depraved and other acts of a sexual nature against several students directly at school with the use of violence. According to the investigation, the man was detained on June 1, 2020 while trying to escape from the educational institution. He was previously charged with committing two crimes under paragraph “a” part 3 of Art. 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violent acts of a sexual nature”) and one – under part 1 of Art. 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Indecent actions”).
