For now, the entity reported that cell phones, documents (contracts), invoices, stamps and other items have been seized.
The operation was led by the Unit for Transparency and Fight against Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office.
Last Wednesday, the Prosecutor’s Office intervened the IESS Los Ceibos hospital for another investigation in which an apparent overprice in two contracts for the acquisition of medicines in that health home is investigated. According to the entity, the purchase was made with an alleged surcharge that would amount to more than one million dollars. (I)
