Ukrainian officials have been banned from flying helicopters until the investigation into a plane crash in Brovary, Kyiv region, which killed the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including Minister Denis Monastyrsky, was completed, Igor Klymenko, acting head of the department, told reporters.

According to RBC with reference to the Ukrainian media, Klymenko said that currently Airbus H225 helicopters, one of which crashed in Brovary, are at the airfields. “We check all the helicopters that were in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This process will take some time. Perhaps for a month or two, until we establish with foreign specialists that they are safe. Unless, of course, we consider the version that this is a malfunction, for example, of a helicopter, ”said I. O. minister.

Officials are still allowed to use only vehicles, he stressed.

Recall that a helicopter with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs crashed in Brovary on January 18 near the kindergarten building. A total of 14 people died, including one child. 25 people were injured, 11 of them were children. The causes of the crash are being established.
