A new violent death was registered in the south of Guayaquil. A man was killed on 11th and Chambers streets, La Chala sector. The incident occurred on the afternoon of this Monday, February 6.


Initially, it was said that the murder took place during the political caravan in which Aquiles Álvarez and Marcela Aguiñaga, elected mayor and prefect in Guayaquil and Guayas, respectively, participated, but that version was later discarded.

In videos that were broadcast on social networks, family members were captured who came to the site and regretted the event. One of them was seen with blood stains on his pants.
An ambulance from the Guayaquil Fire Department arrived at the scene. Police personnel cordoned off the area to gather evidence and collect witness versions. (YO)
