Russia faced a shortage of a number of technologies for drones

The industry of unmanned aerial systems in Russia today needs such air navigation technologies as radio navigation systems, radar, meteorology and others. At the same time, there is a shortage on the market for a number of them. It is reported by “RIA Novosti” with reference to the General Director of the Research Center “Aeroscript” Alexei Khripunov.

The interlocutor of the agency said that the demand for unmanned operations using drones in Russia is growing. Therefore, in the coming years, all basic air navigation technologies will be in demand for the industry of unmanned aerial systems in the Russian market.

He explained that air navigation technologies are used to manage air traffic. They are a superstructure over IT and include radio communications, radar, radio navigation, etc. Also, air navigation technologies are avionics, ground infrastructure, software.

In addition, technologies for integrating drones into a single airspace are also in high demand, including IT solutions, products and equipment in the field of information security.
