When leaving a restaurant in the north of Guayaquil, his truck was stolen, in which he was also driving with his partner, Jeaneth Vera, as well as his little daughter and mother-in-law.
Zúñiga said that when he left the premises to go to his car with his family, he was shot at. It happened at the moment when he was leaving his daughter in the back seat.
The criminals took his belongings and asked for the car keys.
At this time, his wife and mother-in-law were already embarking on the back. The thieves threatened to kill him if he did not give up the keys.
