In Balashikha, a man killed a child of neighbors, showing him fighting techniques with knives

A resident of Balashikha killed a nine-year-old child of neighbors in a communal apartment, demonstrating to him fighting techniques with knives. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region.

“According to the investigation, on the evening of February 4, a 47-year-old neighbor in a communal apartment, who was in a state of intoxication, demonstrated combat techniques to a child using knives, during which he inflicted a mortal wound on the boy,” the GSU said.

The man was detained, the investigator is interrogating him, and the issue of a measure of restraint in the murder case will be resolved in the near future. Relatives and neighbors are being questioned.

Investigators found out that the child lived with his father, his mother was deprived of parental rights. In relation to officials of prevention agencies, an inspection was organized for the proper performance of duties to monitor a dysfunctional family. Officials of prevention agencies were called in for a survey, documents regulating their activities were requested.

The prosecutor’s office put the investigation under control and began its inspection, during which an assessment will be made of compliance with the legislation on minors, as well as the activities of the prevention system and the fulfillment of their duties by parents.
