In pavilions 1, 2, 8 and 9 of the Guayas Liberty Deprivation Center No. 1, as the Litoral Penitentiary is known, shots or detonations were recorded again, as cataloged by the prison system authorities.

That happened on the morning of this Wednesday, November 10, and was confirmed by the SNAI, which was awaiting the official report of the results of the operations that the National Police undertook.

Member of Los Tiguerones will finish serving time outside of prison

This Wednesday, Álex Salazar Villamar left the Litoral Penitentiary, who is identified as one of the local leaders of Los Tiguerones, one of the criminal gangs that dispute control of the country’s prisons as well as in the Litoral Penitentiary, where the clashes between them have already exceeded 200 deaths in prison so far this 2021.

The departure of Salazar from the Litoral Penitentiary was confirmed by the director of the National Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders (SNAI), Bolívar Garzón, during a meeting they had in Quito regarding social rehabilitation in Ecuador.
