This person used various internet platforms such as emails, social networks and instant messaging to share sexual content of children and adolescents, under pseudonyms that were identified by the Investigating Agents.
“In general, children and adolescents are very vulnerable to maintain a conversation, an interactive relationship through networks; So (the captors) request one photograph and then another, they extort them to keep sending them more and thus obtain this type of content to be able to market it nationally and internationally,” he said.
This investigation was supported by the Prosecutor’s Office, the National Directorate for Investigation against Gender Violence, Women, Family, Childhood and Adolescence, Human Trafficking and Illicit Trafficking of Persons (Dinaf) and the Investigation Office of the Department of Homeland Security (HSI for its acronym in English).
As part of the follow-up of the case, the agent said that it is expected to approach the victims to carry out the respective comprehensive care by state agencies. (YO)
