About twenty students at the University of Strasbourg will be forced to retake exams due to the use of the ChatGPT artificial intelligence chatbot during a remote test, BFM TV reports, citing a statement from the university.

“This is the first case at the University of Strasbourg, we have no others to date. We will act in each specific case of fraud in accordance with what is now provided for by law, ”the educational institution noted.

The online exam, which uncovered cases of AI use, focused on the modern and recent history of Japan. It was taken as a multiple choice test. The exam results revealed answers compiled using ChatGPT. Students caught using the bot were required to appear for an in-person exam.

Recall that on the eve of the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov at the Kazakh forum Digital Almaty delivered a speech, which was partially written by the same artificial intelligence.
