High level of terrorist threat extended in Crimea until further notice

The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that the “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat, introduced last spring in the north-east of Crimea, will remain in effect until a decision is made to cancel it. It is reported by Interfax with reference to Aksenov’s Telegram channel.

“In order to ensure the security and anti-terrorist protection of the Republic of Crimea and its citizens, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat will be in effect in a number of municipalities and facilities of the republic from 20:00 on February 5, 2023 until a decision is made to cancel it,” — written by Aksenov.

We are talking about the cities of Armyansk, Dzhankoy, Kerch and Krasnoperekopsk, as well as Dzhankoysky, Krasnoperekopsky and Leninsky districts.

A high level of terrorist threat will also continue to operate at the facilities of the ministries of transport, housing and communal services, health, energy, industrial policy and the State Committee for Water Resources.

As the head of Crimea clarified, also in accordance with the presidential decree, law enforcement agencies were instructed to strengthen control over the movement of vehicles across the administrative borders of Crimea, organize inspections using technical means to detect weapons and explosives.
