Elections 2023: Schedules to get the ID in Guayaquil and Quito

He Civil registration extended its hours to attend to citizens who need to obtain an identity card, regarding the sectional elections which are celebrated on Sunday, February 5. To vote, Ecuadorians need a Identity document, either ID or passport, regardless of its expiration date.

There are 38 agencies nationwide that will be attending extended hours. The friday february 3 The attention in these 38 dependencies will be 08:00 to 19:00. Saturday 4of 07:00 to 20:00 and the sunday 5election day, from 07:00 to 14:00.

Hours to get the ID in Guayaquil

Until Saturday, February 4, the following agencies will receive users from 08:00 to 18:00:

The sunday february 5 only the parent agency Martha de Roldós will serve between 07:00 and 13:00.

Hours to get the ID in Quito

The extended schedules in Quito will be applied in the following agencies, the Friday the 3rd of 08:00 to 19:00. Saturday 4of 07:00 to 20:00 and the sunday 5election day, from 07:00 to 14:00.

If the user is going to obtain the identity card for the first time, they must pay $5 and if they are going to renew the document, the cost is $16. There are two ways to cancel: in cash and online, and once canceled, they must obtain shift in the virtual agency www.registrocivil.gob.ec.

How is the proccess?

1.- Enter the virtual agency at www.registrocivil.gob.ec.

2.- Create a profile with username and password for the citizen.

3.- Select the type of service and choose the agency where the procedure is required.

4.- Select the payment method:

-If it was done online, the service turn is scheduled.

-If it was done in any agency of the affiliated entities (correspondent bank), you must enter the virtual agency page again to schedule the shift.

5.- Go to the module on the day of the shift for validation.

6.- We will proceed with the capture of fingerprints, photo taking and signature in the ID area.

7.- Wait for your name to be called, to verify the printed information.

8.- Finally, the service operator will register the delivery of the document in the system.

People with disabilities, the elderly, children under 3 years of age, pregnant women and people with catastrophic illnesses do not need to schedule an appointment and must go directly to the agency to be attended. (YO)
