Payment for Turkish Airlines tickets with bank cards issued in Russia has become possible again, but there are no guarantees that it will pass, RBC reports citing the airline’s call center.
The fact that the Russians again had the opportunity to buy tickets for a Turkish airline, including with the help of Mir cards, although without a guarantee, Izvestia wrote. The call center told the agency that “not all Russian cards pass, but Visa, Mastercard must pass. Other Russian cards do not pass due to sanctions.”
At the same time, they added that “there are many such situations, we do not know 100% of the information, sometimes the passengers pass the Mir, sometimes not. Sometimes Mastercard passes, sometimes it doesn’t, we can’t give a 100% guarantee.”
As reported, among the possible failure options when buying tickets with Russian cards is a refusal to operate or a ticket cancellation immediately after the funds are debited. In the latter case, the amount is returned to the account within two business days. It is guaranteed that you can buy tickets using foreign bank cards, through an agent or at a sales office.
