In the Stavropol Territory, the prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation into the mass death of birds on the territory of the Dundinskoye reservoir in the Apanasenkovsky district. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.
“In the territorial department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a prosecutor’s report on this fact was registered, a procedural check was organized, within the framework of which expert examinations will be scheduled to make a legal procedural decision. The prosecutor’s office supervises the course of the check. Now, at the scene, the prosecutor of the Apanasenkovsky district is coordinating the work of the investigative and regulatory authorities,» the statement says.
During the prosecutor’s inspection, an assessment will be made of compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of wildlife. Based on the results, the issue of taking prosecutorial response measures will be resolved.
Earlier, a local resident posted on social networks a video from the Dunda reservoir, on the shore and ice of which there were dozens of dead birds. The district administration sent a task force to the site, the fact of the death of birds was confirmed.
