Azuay Prosecutor’s Office investigates a psychologist for 13 complaints of sexual abuse and harassment brought against him by parents from a private school

The psychologist of a private educational unit in Cuenca is being investigated by the Azuay Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged crime of sexual abuse and harassment of four-year-old children. According to the version of the parents who filed the complaint, the adult encouraged the minors to perform sexual acts such as kissing or touching their private parts.

With these elements, the complaints began to be filed last December at the Prosecutor’s Office and between the 5th and 13th of that month, 13 complaints were filed, which led to the preliminary investigations. For now, the investigated psychologist is free, since a legal process has not yet been opened against him.

An additional element that was known is that the defendant has complied, up to now, with the requests requested by the Prosecutor’s Office and in his first statements he has denied everything, also through his defense attorney.
