High school graduates who seek a place in the public universities of Ecuador for the period 2023 may do so directly with the educational institutions, since from this year the admission process It will no longer be mandatorily in charge of the Secretary of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt).
Between January and March, applicants who have registered in the Senescyt National Registry may continue with admission to the university of their choice.
The University of Guayaquil, which has 50 careers divided into six learning areas in its academic offer, has already begun its admission process.
Admission process for the University of Guayaquil
1. National Registry: The National Registry was enabled for high school graduates until January 12.
2. Registration to the University of Guayaquil: The information entered in the National Registry is validated and the registration in the institutional platform is enabled. Applicants will be able to select a specific field of knowledge according to what they wish to study and later they will choose up to two careers of their choice.. This phase will be active until March 30.
3. Taking knowledge assessment: The university will announce, through its official accounts, the day on which applicants must come to take an evaluation of their knowledge. The grade that the applicant obtains in this knowledge test, together with the grade from the academic record and in pertinent cases of affirmative actions, will make up the total application score out of a thousand points.
4. Career Selection: This phase will also be available until March 30.
5. Allocation of quotas: Quotas will be assigned to applicants until April 15.
6. Acceptance of quotas: Students who accept their places must register through the institutional platform, according to the calendar that will be published in the official media of the University of Guayaquil.
In accordance with the academic program established by the university authorities, it is expected that the leveling course CI period 2023-2024 starts between June and July and the classes of cycle II 2023-2024 between October and November.
