Since the end of 2022, the model range for AvtoVAZ dealers has been available only in a few colors. According to Vedomosti, this is due to a shortage of paints and varnishes. According to a representative of the automaker, the problem is planned to be solved in the coming weeks.
The newspaper recalls that from November-December AvtoVAZ began to paint the Granta model in two colors – black and white. Other models – Niva Legend, Travel and Bronto – are available in dark green. As for the line of commercial Lada, it comes in white.
According to a representative of one of the regional dealers, this trend continues in the first quarter, and it is not clear how the situation will change in April and beyond.
Another source indicated that other colors are currently “single out” and a wider color gamut may arrive in March.
Recall that due to a shortage of components, AvtoVAZ suspended production last spring, but resumed it in the summer. The head of the automaker, Maxim Sokolov, pointed out that the risks of disrupting the supply of components and disrupting supply chains are present and still high.
