This is what is known about the murder of five people perpetrated in the Daule urbanization

Shortly after 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, January 28, the local journalistic bustle left the streets of Guayaquil to head towards León Febres-Cordero avenue, jurisdiction of the Daule canton, where at that time a multiple murder was reported in one of the the urbanizations of the sector.

So far no arrests have been announced in this case, but this is the information that is known about it:

Who are the people murdered in a Daule housing estate?

– Before the multiple murder in the house where some of the victims lived, a meeting was held in which the police, military and traffic agents would have participated. That meeting began on the afternoon of Friday the 27th and continued until Saturday morning, the neighbors said due to the loud music that was being heard.

– In the house there were four men, a woman and a baby. One of the four was the owner of the house, José Soria Briones; the woman and the minor were his wife and son.

– Already on the morning of Saturday the 28th, several people who the owners of the house authorized to enter through the security checkpoint arrived at the urbanization, at the house of the apparent celebration. These people were traveling in two vehicles.

– The visitors were in the house for an hour until an argument would have started. The neighbors heard at 10:10 am shouts, insults and then fifty shots.

– The victims are: Jose Soria Brionesinvestigated for two murders, but was not brought to trial; Stuart Granados Basque, police officer terminated in 2021, who lived in the same urbanization. Granados has judicial processes for reception and illicit association. – Added to the adults is the minor who was injured at the time of the attack and was taken to a health home, where he died.

– Once the multiple murder was perpetrated, the perpetrators tried to flee in a van that was abandoned in the urbanization. But then they escaped in another vehicle.

– In the house that was the target of the attack, the police found a firearm, chargers, and 9 mm and 2.23 cartridges (from a rifle).

– The home of Estuardo Granados, the former police officer who lived in the same urbanization, was raided and money was found packed in different packages, weapons, ammunition, and police clothing.

– After this attack, at least two hit men were reported in the province of Los Ríos. José Soria Briones was a native of Quevedo, Fluminense jurisdiction, for which reason among the inhabitants of that canton there was speculation that these murders could be related to the event that occurred in the Daule urbanization, Guayas province. However, that has not been confirmed by the authorities yet.
