In two weeks there could be a change in the epidemiological situation as a result of the November holiday of the Day of the Dead and Independence of Cuenca.

On fifteen days there may or may not be changes in the epidemiological situation linked to the coronavirus in Quito.

Francisco Viteri, Secretary of Health of the Municipality of Quito, argued that there is no increase significant number of cases that can be evidenced.

Between epidemiological week 43 and 44 (November), he added, the number of cases did not increase.

“In the city still we do not evidence a curve that makes us think we have a rebound in the disease (…). At the moment we do not evidence, in the city at least, a situation that alarms us …”He said in a radio interview.

He added that the situation will continue to be monitored and it will be necessary to wait if the indicators in the following two weeks they change as a result of holidays. Last week the Day of the Dead and the Independence of Cuenca were commemorated.

At Police hospital there was 100% occupancy for hospitalization, 59% at IESS Carlos Andrade Marín hospital, 25% at Baca Ortiz hospital, 32% at Pablo Arturo Suárez hospital

For ICU, there was 90% in the Carlos Andrade Marín hospital, 86% in the IESS Quito Sur hospital, 81% in the Pablo Arturo Suárez hospital.
