The Vyborg City Court of the Leningrad Region arrested for five days the ex-vice-governor of St. Petersburg Sergey Kozyrev, who had previously been hiding from the police while intoxicated. This is stated in the materials on the website of the court.
Kozyrev was detained the day before. He himself denies the intoxication imputed to him.
In the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the TASS agency was informed that a man driving a Bentley Bentayga was stopped by a traffic police squad at the 160th kilometer of Scandinavia. According to external signs, the driver was in a state of intoxication, TASS reports. In this regard, the inspector asked him to transfer to a patrol car.
Kozyrev, as noted, got out of the car under a far-fetched pretext, quickly got into his car and left. Later, he was detained in a hunting lodge, while the former official resisted.
The examination showed that he had 1.097 ppm of alcohol in his blood.
With regard to the detainee, administrative protocols were drawn up under three articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
Recall that Sergei Kozyrev served as vice-governor of St. Petersburg from September 2011 to February 2013. He left his post after personal criticism from Russian President Vladimir Putin due to the increase in housing and communal services tariffs for the population.
