Japan freezes assets of 22 individuals and three companies from Russia

Japan has expanded the sanctions list of Russian individuals and companies in connection with the situation in Ukraine. It is reported by Interfax with reference to the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

The new sanctions will affect 22 individuals from the Russian Federation. Among them are First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko, Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, Deputy Defense Minister Mikhail Mizintsev.

Philosopher Alexander Dugin, non-staff adviser to the acting governor of the Kherson region Alexander Malkevich, general director of PJSC Kamaz Sergey Kogogin and others were also sanctioned.

The list of companies whose assets will be frozen was expanded by Irkut Corporation, Avangard Machine-Building Plant and Kamaz PJSC.

In addition, Tokyo imposes a ban on the export of general-purpose goods and goods related to the strengthening of military potential in relation to 49 Russian companies.

Among them are the Zvyozdochka ship repair center, the Moscow Aviation Institute, the Tula Arms Plant, the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering, the Research Center “Institute. N. E. Zhukovsky”, the Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P. I. Baranov, the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, the Aviaagregat enterprise and others.

Finally, separate sanctions will affect 14 individuals from the Crimea, DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, including the head of the military-civil administration (CAA) of Kakhovka Pavel Filipchuk, the deputy head of the Kherson region administration for property, trade relations and industrial policy Igor Semenchev, the head of the company “MAKO Holding” of Alexander Yanukovych, head of “Gaz-Alliance” Sergei Kurchenko and others.
